Abi Clarke
In the past, i.e. In the early 2020s, comedians were expected to entertain for decades in the UK before being invited to the TV panel and then selling out arena shows. But, right now, it's not as simple. Comedy is a form of art which has managed to continue to be performed in the presence of a live audience, but we won't have arena tours any time soon. One Bristol comedian, however, has managed to attract an enormous global audience during lockdowns through social media. Abi Clarke did not set out to become an internet-star. Abi Clarke is a young woman of 24 who lives in Henbury , England with her parents, made her first online video to "build a community of similar people who could appreciate my stand-up comic act." "I performed a lot in Devon to men older than 50 who were not as enthusiastic about my Love Island Sims and Twilight references, so it was the right time to go online to find others who were young and would enjoy my stand-up comedy." Abi, who lives in Hen bury with her parents continues to post her videos on Instagram, Twitter, and Tik Tok. She finds inspiration from many sources, including conversations with strangers, chat room, and writes down her thoughts on her smartphone.
