 Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub of the United States is an actress, comedian, and activist. After moving to America her birthplace was in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents. She began her career as an actor for children. Her most well-known work is her appearances in AT&T television commercials. In these commercials, she was Lily Adams (2013 to 2016) and in 2020 (since 2020 (from). In addition to her commercial appearances, she was an actor in the series on the Yahoo! Screen science fiction show Other Space (2015) and had a recurring role on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016-2017). Vayntrub was also cast as Squirrelgirl for Marvel Rising in 2018 following her role in the pilot series for New Warriors. Vayntrub was born in Tashkent, Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic, USSR, and is Jewish. Her parents and her left antisemitism at the age of two. They settled in West Hollywood. Her family's financial troubles resulted in her appearing in Mattel Barbie commercials from the age of 5. Vayntrub was a student at Beverly Hills High School briefly, but she was kicked out of the school during her second year. Then, she earned the GED, and earned an Associate of Arts degree in Communication at University of California, San Diego. As part of the Upright Citizens Brigade she studied the art of improv comedy.
