 Nathan John Feuerstein (born March 30 1991) is known as his initials NF (stylized as IF) is an American singer, rapper, songwriter and record producer. He has released two EPs with Capitol CMG, "I'm Free" (2012) and"[3] and one self-titled EP released in 2014. Mansion was his debut major-label album. It was released March 31, 2015. The second studio album Therapy Session was released on April 22 in 2016. It reached the top spot at 12 in the US Billboard 200. His albums have received numerous awards which include the Gospel Music Association Dove Award in Rap/Hip Hop Album (Therapy Session). Perception, NF's 2017 album, reached number one in the United States, and was certified platinum. The third single, "Let You Go", reached number twelve in the United States. Billboard Hot 100 topped the charts across the globe as well as being a top 10 hit. Similar commercial success was achieved through The Search (2019). Feuerstein said that rap was for him a form of escape in his youth. Feuerstein would record songs on an singing machine. He recorded instrumentals and sang on one microphone. Feuerstein released Moments, his first studio album, independently on November 29, 2010. His debut single, "Alone", was released on August 2, 2011. Brooke Griffith, songwriter and producer of the song, was included. Xist Music was attracted to Feuerstein's work in 2012. Feuerstein debuted his expanded work I'm Free on May 2nd in 2012, with production by Profitt. The tracklist featured nine songs that included "Alone". The EP also contained an exclusive rendition of "Alone" featuring Sean Simmonds. Xist released a teaser for the release of their self-titled extended piece, NF. However, Feuerstein was able to separate from the label because of a dispute. The production of NF was delayed. NF, however, featured an original track "Only One" with Shuree Wilkins, on the compilation album by the label Move Vol 1. On November 4, 2013, he released the single "Beautiful Addiction". Profitt was also a guest on the track. The song included vocals by Danielle Swift and Brady Schmitz.
